Leadership Coaching for a time between worlds

The end of the world as we know it is not the end of the world ... it is the end of a way of knowing the world

Expanding Perceptions | Enabling Potential

Today’s Leadership Challenge

The leadership being demanded of today is different than that of the past.  We are working within the contexts of intersecting global challenges, rapidly shifting world views and growing anxiety around the speed of change in our geo-politics, environment, technology and culture.  However conscious or not this may be, people feel it, experience it and are seeking a greater sense of purpose, meaning and contribution in their lives and work.

And leadership is being asked to provide ‘transformation’, and quickly, often from a world view of the past. So how do we work within the current framing as well as exploring the framing that could serve us in stepping forwards, being open to the unknown requirements of the future. Transformation may only be possible through developing new ways of thinking and acting, by expanding perceptions and developing new paradigms.

How do we manage to keep the wheels turning while performing this feat?  There are no easy answers, but one thing is for sure, it will require deeper capabilities in the art and skills of observation, reflection and learning.

Leadership Insight Coaching can help

In today’s organisations there is immense pressure to deliver the business as usual, whilst transforming services, functions, organisations and systems, mid-flight.

We work in highly complex systems, where many things are interrelated, and the complex dynamics are inherently difficult to grasp from our Newtonian education.

Fundamentally, not everything is within our sight and control.  Yet we must learn ways to equip ourselves with the greater insight and clarity, to make good decisions and deliver the impact we can.

But how do we get under the surface of what is really going on?

How can we make decisions based on being able to see more, and be able to lead with confidence, even if we don’t have all the answers?

How can we best collaborate with others, despite the complexity and ambiguity we face?

As the world gets more unpredictable, it can feel difficult to know how to step forward.

Coaching helps us to tap into our own knowledge and intelligence

Leadership Insight Coaching

Insight Coaching provides a space where we can explore our experiences, find clarity and consider how we can step forward.  We need space to reflect, to makes sense of our world and our place in it.  Having a way to ponder these things out loud, to share our embodied experience with another, allows us to hear our thoughts, connect with our knowing, from a different perspective and to find our own insights from within.

Insight Coaching is not about getting to an imaginary ‘perfect’ place; it is about embracing the reality of life, to make progress from where we are, embracing all the aspects of being human and leading at this important point in time between worlds.  It provides a space to explore our experiences and to learn as we go, in order that we can be wiser in our thoughts and actions.
